Rikki-Lee Epp
Registered Psychotherapist (RP)
Hi, I’m Rikki-Lee, a Registered Psychotherapist offering virtual therapy to adults across Ontario.
I’ve always been deeply curious about human behaviour—wondering why we do what we do and how our early environments shape us. Before becoming a therapist, I spent 20 years working in the health field after completing an undergraduate degree in Community Health Science.
I came to psychotherapy as a second career in midlife, after changes in my own health prompted me to seek a more sustainable and less physically demanding profession. Becoming a therapist had long been an interest of mine, and this transition offered the opportunity to pursue that path. I went on to retrain for five years at the Ontario Psychotherapy and Counselling College, where I developed the clinical foundation that informs my work today.
In addition to my formal education, my practice is also informed by lived experience, including living with ADHD and chronic pain, and parenting neurodivergent children (ASD and ADHD). These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for what it is like to live in a world that doesn’t always appreciate differences in ways of thinking or being.
I’m drawn to psychotherapy because I believe that developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and our relationships can be both meaningful and transformative. My own experience in therapy has supported me in living with greater authenticity and ease—an experience I find deeply freeing. I continue to engage in therapy as part of an ongoing commitment to both personal and professional growth.
When I’m not sitting with clients, you’ll often find me hiking local trails, spending time with my family and pets, reading about psychology, or taking a deep dive into a topic that has sparked my curiosity.
